FoodBridge – Axel Johnson’s platform for early-stage foodtech start-up investments – makes its second investment in the company Improvin’. Improvin’ is a Swedish technology company that builds digital infrastructure for agricultural and food companies to drive increased sustainability and simplify reporting in the food supply chain.

FoodBridge was launched in the spring of 2022 with the aim of promoting collaboration and innovation across the entire value chain, and to accelerate sustainable change in our food system. An important part of FoodBridge is early investments in ideas and companies with the potential to create positive change. At the end of last year, FoodBridge invested in Petgood, and now they are making their second investment in the climate tech company Improvin’.

Fanny Nachemson, Head of FoodBridge:
“We have had our eyes on Improvin’ since the beginning and are extremely impressed with their product and what they have achieved so far. By providing a digital infrastructure that promotes transparency and traceability throughout the value chain, we are taking an important step towards a more sustainable food system. We look forward to continuing to follow their journey.”

The digital infrastructure provided by Improvin’ allows agricultural and food companies to measure and report primary data, in order to both reduce emissions in their own value chain and improve biodiversity, along with their suppliers. The platform enables the integration of sustainability into existing purchasing processes while complying with regulatory reporting standards.

Improvin’s investment round was led by the climate-focused fund Pale blue dot, together with American Dynamo Ventures, and did also include PINC (Paulig) in addition to FoodBridge.

Niklas Wallsargård, CEO and founder of Improvin’:
“It’s a unique and perfect combination of expertise that we gain with this investment. Pale blue dot’s experience in climate issues and Dynamo Ventures’ expertise in supply chain, combined with invaluable knowledge of the food industry from both FoodBridge and PINC.”
